DAY 1 – Saturday, September 20 – Travel day

DAY 2 – Sunday, September 21- Arrival in Yerevan
Early morning arrival at Zvartnotz International Airport. Our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to the hotel in Yerevan asisting you in hotel check-in and other formalities

DAY 3 –Monday, September 22
Breakfast served at hotel
Drive North to Aragats Mountain
Ashtarak – where you can find numerous churches or various ancient buildings at every step;
Oshakan – the most famous is the last resting place of Mesrop Mashtots;
Saghmosavank Monastery perched on the edge of the precipitous gorge of the Kasakh river;
Artashavan – New Complex of Armenian Letters: “It is difficult to express the deep feeling Armenians have for their language, which many regard as the lifeblood of their culture”;
Mughni - traditional table/lavash making: “Eat thy bread with joy”;

DAY 4 - Tuesday, September 23

The day begins with exploring the heart of Armenia, Yerevan City Tour!
Acquaintance with Yerevan should start with Erebouni museum andFortress which was founded in 782 B.C., 29 years before Rome, the “Eternal City” was built;
Victory ParkRepublic Square main square with the most attractive architecture;
“Victory” Park with a fascinating view ofYerevan and the whole city will be seen spread at the foot of gorgeous Mt. Ararat; Mesrop Mashtots avenue, Cascade and Gerard Cafesjian Art Museum, which will soon become Armenia’s largest repository of modern art, Bagramyan Avenue “The avenue that never sleeps” with the Presidential Palace, Academy of Sciences, National Parliament; Opera Theater;
Tsitsernakaberd memorial and museum to the 1915 Genocide, one of the most impressive monuments in Yerevan;

DAY 5 – Wednesday, September 24

The day begins with a tour to Khor VirapMonastery (St.Gregory the Illuminator’s underground pit); amazing view of Biblical Mt. Ararat: “The blessed Mountain for Armenians”
Enjoy and taste a guided wine in the famous “Areni Wine Factory” as in Armenia: “Wine is bottled poetry”; Continuing the route, we reach Noravank monastery (9th – 14th centuries): “Human-and-nature-created wonders”; . This is a unique construction, surrounded by red cliffs. Noravank Monastery will leave you with unforgettable impressions and memories.

DAY 6 – Thusrday, September 25
GeghardBreakfast served at hotel
The sightseeing day begins with visiting Garni pagan temple (World UNESCO Heritage) with royal bath of roman mosaic dating to 3rd century AD . Garni temple is the only standing evidence of paganism in Armenia. Geghard Monastery (World UNESCO Heritage) – Cave monastery architectural complex in the 12-13th century-cut in one monolithic rock , where a vocal quintet concert of Armenian religious music can be organized.

DAY 7 – Friday, September 26
Breakfast served at hotel
Drive to North of Armenia – Lori region
Vanadzor City – the historical and modern center of the province of Lori;
Alaverdy town in a canyon, between Yerevan and Georgian - is famous for its copper mines.
We proceed to another outstanding masterpiece of Armenian architecture Haghpat Monastery (World UNESCO Heritage) in which artistic merits transcended the limits of the national culture.

DAY 8 – Saturday, September 27

Mesrop Mashtots' Matenadaran: institute of Ancient Manuscripts in Yerevan, is one of the richest depositories of manuscripts and books in the world;
Vernissage - outdoor market featuring hand made arts and crafts, classical place for bargaining;

DAY 9 – Sunday, September 28

Blessing of Holy Chrism in Etchmiadzin (MURON ORHNEK)
DIVINE LITURGY and Special Service of the Blessing of Holy Oil
The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin /301-303 AD/ is the pre-eminent center of authority in the worldwide Armenian Apostolic Church and the residence of the Catholicos of All Armenians (World UNESCO Heritage)

DAY 10 – Monday, September 29

The day begins with a tour to Lake Sevan – the pearl of Armenia, a beauty under the sky.
Lake Sevan is considered to be one of the biggest lakes in the world with sweet water situated at the altitude of 1,897 meters above sea level. Gorgeous view to Lake Sevan is opened from the peninsula atop which Sevan Monastery is nicely nestled dating 9th century.
We continue our way to Dilijan Town Resort - a piece of Switzerland in Armenia with fantastic diverse mountainous landscapes, canyons, rivers and forests. Haghartsin Monastery is nestled in a temperate rainforest on a mountainside;

DAY 11 - Tuesday, September 30

Tour to Sardarabad – Memorial Monument and Ethnographic Museum of the historical battle at Sardarabad in 1918.
Drive to St. Etchmiadzin - Treasury Museum; Churches of the Virgin Hripsime and Gayane.
Audience with His Holiness (should be arranged)
Return to Yerevan

DAY 12 –Wednesday, October 1

Trip to Gyumri- Visit FAR Projects: Soup Kitchen, Music School Octet, Ounjian School, GITC

Shopping day – Pak Shuka: the fresh fruits, dried fruits, nuts and vegetables of Armenia enjoy a much-deserved reputation and are easy to shop for at any neighborhood food market;
Tour of ''Armen Carpet'' Factory ''Which brings together time-honored traditions and a rang of exquisite aesthetics to create objects of art for modern living”;
