The Armenian highland, which occupies an area of about 400.000 sq. kilometers, is spread in Frontal Asia, to the North of Mesopotamia. German geographers justly call this wonderful country “a mountainous island” or “the roof of snow-covered uplands”. Currency :  Dram, International currency code- AMD, one AMD = 100 lumas. There are banknotes of 1000, 5000, 20000,  50000 and coins of 10, 50, 100, 200, 500

Credit cards:  Most of hotels, restaurants and stores accept Visa, Master Card, AmEx. ATM machines in Yerevan function in  accordance with the Plus Global Access Network, Visa, and MasterCard systems.

Telecommunication:  There are three telecommunication operators currently in Armenia: Viva Cell MTS, Ucom and Beeline. All three offer 3G as well as 4G and LTE services. All three networks are widely modern and reliable with offices located in most major towns and cities where one can purchase a sim card or get assistance if needed.
Internet:  Dial-up, DSL, WiFi. Available in hotels and a number of internet cafés.
Postal Services:  Hay Post, EMS, UPS, DHL, Federal Express, TNT Express Worldwide.

Medical Health Info: No mandatory immunizations required for travelers visiting Armenia except: upon entering the territory of the Republic of Armenia via air and land borders travelers will be asked to provide a COVID-19 PCR test certificate with negative results taken within the previous 72 hours.
