"Arpa" protected landscape is located in Vayots Dzor region, in Noravank gorge, it occupies approximately 3000 hectares territories from Areni and Khachik communities. The landscape has rich flora and fauna, from where you can see the Noravank monastery complex from the height of a bird's flight.
If you like to be in the lap of nature, hiking in the "Arpa" protected landscape is a great option. Here you will admire the beautiful nature of the landscape, the fauna, the wonderful Noravank gorge and its monastic complex. We offer 3 hiking trails in the protected landscape, the end point of the tours is Noravank. The tours usually start from the old settlement called Amaghu and
continue to the observation points.

With our skilled rangers, in the "Arpa" protected landscape you can watch bezoar goats in their natural environment, and if you are very successful, you can watch also Caucasian leopard. The tour starts from Areni village and continues to the protected landscape observation point.

Gndasar (located in Elpin village) is famous for its rare birds, one of which is the Caspian snowcock. This bird is an endemic species and has a great interest among bird lovers, as it easily gathers speed during flight. You can start the tour with our rangers from Areni village at 5 or 6 in the morning, drive 30 km to the observation point and watch the snowcock.
